I recently had the opportunity to tour a palm oil processing plant in northern Bengkulu. I originally met the owners through the Save Bona campaign. It was at first surprising to me to see these people getting so involved in the environmental aspects of the palm oil processing. But a very welcome surprise. As I got to know the owners even more it become very apparent that they were well on board with trying to co-exist with the current environment and local people. It is amazing to have met these people that I now call friends and hope to work with them more closely in the future on environmental campaigns related to palm oil processing.
