There is something about the varying aspects of photography that I love like this aerial shot over Enggano Island in Sumatra. Aerial photography is one of those aspects that I have come to love but I am really trying to improve in all areas of my photography be it landscape, aerial and even portraiture photography. I would love to be able to capture the magic, culture and inspiration of all areas I visit. I am currently re-tooling all my camera gear and getting things focused and organised to a tool set that will help me capture all these types of photography in one small package that may even fit on a motorbike (hint hint). So far progressing well with swapping my phantom 4 for a Mavic Pro. Actually below is a list of my camera gear goal set I want to try to fit on my travels.
- Sony a6500
Sony a6000 Sony Zeiss 16-35mm Sony 70-200 f4 Mavic Pro
- Canon 24-70 f2.8 + MC11 adaptor
- Godox AD360N + X1T-s
- Godox accessories
Those are the main elements I want to achieve for the next stage of my photography. A good friend always told me “you don’t need to buy the best camera body, just focus on the best lenses”. So that is why I am sticking with the crop sensor body of the a6500 and upgrading my lenses. My main goal is to be light and travel and this setup looks to be the best and still achieve amazing results with this gear. We will see in 2017 how things go.
