<p>I&#8217;ve been running with the concept of social media well before it was even looking like it was going main stream. The time when all the tech heads and geeks ruled the Twitterverse. Then along came <a href="http://www.twitter.com/aplusk">@aplusk</a> and soon followed the million twitter followers race between <strong>Ashton Kutcher</strong> and CNN to be the first to reach 1 million users. Soon after the great commercialisation of social media followed. Since about that time the defining social media networks have all been accepted into mainstream media.</p>

<p>Some people think we are in another &#8220;Internet Bubble&#8221; with the recent public listing of LinkedIn and the surge in share prices, things are certainly quite rosy when you add in all the startups and major successes of Twitter and Facebook. But it&#8217;s not really a bubble, yet. Well things are sweet there new startups every week, but I&#8217;ll consider us to be in a bubble when some of these startups start listing publicly before they have even made an international impact on the market. I think once Facebook goes public, a lot of these smaller ventures will grow to fast, then soon after that we will hit the bubble and it will burst a short time later. I&#8217;ll give it about 3 years for the next bubble to appear and then burst. You heard it here first. </p>
