Photography Tip Number 23 – Filters

I have a few filters in my bag and I want to share some examples. I have a Polarising filter which helps reduce reflections and darken the sky in landscape photos. I also have a nice set of Cokin filters I use for landscape photography. They are great for creating effects like golden sunrises or to blur out running water in waterfall photos. Really nice filters to have. If you can’t purchase either of those then I recommend at least buying a UV filter to protect your lens. If you are an out doors photographer then this is a must for protection. I recently smashed the front of one of my lenses and luckily on the front was a UV lens. I only broke the filter and not the lens. Saved me $700. I recommend buying one. 🙂
